Plans for an eighth portion were initially reported in March
2015 when Diesel showed up on Jimmy Kimmel Live! also, reported that
the film would be set in New York City.
Arrangements for the film started promptly after the arrival of Furious 7 with Diesel, Morgan and maker
Neal H. Moritz re-marking. In the wake of setting an underlying release
date around the same time, throwing occurred amongst April and June 2015. In
October 2015, Gray, best known for coordinating Straight Outta Compton (2015),
was reported to coordinate the film in the place of James Wan, who had directed the past film. Essential photography
started in March 2016 in areas, for example, Mývatn, Havana, Atlanta, Cleveland and New York City, proceeding
with the establishment's custom of shooting in various areas around the globe. The
film is booked to be released on April 14, 2017 in IMAX.
