When Anurag Kashyap consented to cut an energetic liplock and alter out some oppressive words did the Censor Board's Revising Committee pass his period-show with a UA declaration.
Mirror (May4 ) had prior reported that Anurag Kashyap's driven peri od dramatization Bombay Velvet has discovered itself on the wrong side of the Central Board of Film Certification. The Examining Committe (EC)refused to pass the Rs100 crore-in addition to film with a UA testament, demanding that issued its oppressive dialect and unnecessary brutality, it was more suited for grown-up review. This would have eliminated the film's span and the makers dreaded a resulting loss of income.
Fortunately for the filmmakers, the Revising Committee (RC) which saw the Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Sharma starrer late on Friday afternoon, justified Anurag's faith in them. They passed the film with the requested UA rating, but Anurag had to accept three cuts. This was something he had earlier vowed he wouldn't agree to. But with the film coming up for release next Friday, he had little choice.
