Granted Bail, Salman Khan to Resume Shooting for 'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' Today

MUMBAI:  A day after the Bombay High Court suspended his five-year prison sentence in a hit-and-run case, actor Salman Khan will resume shooting for Bajrangi Bhaijaan in Kashmir today.

The actor was not present in court on Friday when a judge said the 49-year-old can apply for bail with a bond of Rs. 30,000. He has to surrender his passport and can only travel abroad with the court's permission.

While pronouncing Mr Khan blameworthy, Judge DW Deshpande rejected his case that his driver was to be faulted.

The judge said as opposed to reporting the mischance to the police, Mr Khan "covered up" at home. "It is apropos to note that the charged did not make any positive strides by going to doctor's facility to see the harmed and give therapeutic guide to them," the request said.

Amid the trial, the performer's legal counselors guaranteed that Mr Khan had been drinking water and had moved out of the auto through the driver's seat after the mischance on the grounds that the traveler side entryway had been harmed.

In any case, a few arraignment witnesses, including survivors of the accident, affirmed that Mr Khan was driving the vehicle when it furrowed at almost 55 miles every hour into the men thinking about the road close to a pastry shop in September 2002.

Since his conviction on Wednesday, Bollywood's top stars went by Mr Khan at his home in a show of backing. House calls were made by Aamir Khan, Ajay Devgn, Karan Johar, Sonakshi Sinha and Kareena Kapoor.
